Almost a week has gone by and I am moving right along.
Still feeling good while focusing on recovery. The pain is still minimal but I am experiencing a little numbness in my arms. I have a feeling this will fade as I regain full range of motion and get back to working out. Hopefully this all happens soon.

10-21-10

4 days in and still doing good. Today I can officially shower so I am excited about that. I have also been able to look at the "results" and so far so good. He did leave a little extra skin for the next surgery to make it easier. But I am looking natural and as normal as can be...Oh and still no pain meds...yay!

10-19-10

Day 2 and doing much better. I am moving around fairly easily and the pain is not too bad. I have chosen not to take pain medicine unless it gets out of control. Without the pain medicine my digestion system should be much better this time...ha ha....The only major complaint is sleeping. I just couldn't get comfortable last night so was not able to sleep that well. However I can rest today.

Thank you for all of the support through this surgery. I have the best family/friends a girl could ask for!

10/18/2010 - Post Surgery

Hi everyone! It's Adam again. We just spoke with the doctor, and everything went really well. Jess is in the recovery room now, and we will get to go back there once she has woken up more. Supposedly, this is going to be much less pain than last time, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Looks like Jess will get to watch Oprah after all!

10/18/2010 - Before Surgery

Hi everyone! It's Adam, not Jess today. Jess is all checked in at the hospital, and back in the pre-op room with Sue. Her dad and I will join them shortly after they get her IV connected. Jess is doing well this morning, and actually got some rest last night (I was worried she wouldn't).

She's all connected up now, and still has a smile on her face. Jess would like to be out of here for Oprah this afternoon, so we'll see if that happens!

10-12-10

My 3 month check up with Dr. Rager and Dr Schneider went amazing yesterday. They both said my recovery is going great. No detailed testing was required as I am not showing any signs that would concern them. The up and down that I have been feeling is normal. And of course my energy level/fatigue should come back after I have completed all of my surgeries.

I am so excited for this great news and am looking forward to getting next Monday behind me.

I can't believe it is already October. Literally 3 weeks from now I will be in and out of surgery and on my way to the final stages of recovery. I will say I am ready for it all to be over. And very
ready to have my 3 month check up with my Breast Surgeon/Oncologist. They will reassure me that my post chemo symptoms are normal and to be expected. My chemo nurse did say the other day it could take as long as a year to feel back to some form of normal....
